Start your tour visiting the National Museum of Saudi Arabia which has been established in 1419 as a significant part of the king Abdulaziz historical center in Riyadh. Very impressive and important museum about the entire Saudi history, Saudi royal family, the kingdom formation, and everything regarding the political context. you will be led to numerous antiques, manuscripts, and documents that are all chronologically organized. It includes eight main halls: Hall of Man and the Universe, Arab Kingdoms, Pre-Islamic Era, Prophet’s Mission, First Saudi State, Unification of the Kingdom Hall & Hall of Hajj and Two Holy Mosques.
The museum includes interesting examples of Arabian and Islamic art as well as architecture. The masterpieces include Prehistoric Elephant Skeleton, huge meteor found in the Empty Quarter in Saudi Arabia desert, Rock Grafitti from Hejaz region backdate to pre Islamic era, Copy of Rosetta stone, an example of Madaian Salah Rock-cut tombs.

Then enjoy the National museum park walks through the outdoor gardens one of the best gardens you will visit in Saudi Arabia. Then visit the Al Masmak, Enjoy and step back in time and explore Saudi Arabia’s roots. Fascinating exhibitions on display show maps and photographs of Saudi Arabia, alongside a range of historical artifacts, artworks and audiovisual attractions. A short documentary also re-enacts the capture of the fortress by King Abdul Aziz, whose spearhead you can still see embedded in its wooden gate.

Then visit The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque is an active place of worship in Riyadh named after Turki bin Abdullah bin Muhammad. Seating 17,000 worshippers and measuring 16,800 m2, it is one of the largest mosques in Saudi Arabia.

It is the crib of Islah Dawah, the capital; of the first Saudi state and the city that ha witnessed the history of when Saudi Arabia was established. Diriyah, the birthplace of the first Saudi state, historical crossroads of pilgrims and traders, and home to one of the Kingdom’s most ambitious heritage developments. (some sites like the mud houses can be visited only from outside as there are some renovation works now)

Curved along the outskirts of Riyadh, and formed on the oasis that spilled from the banks of Wadi Hanifa, Ad Diriyah’s mud-brick walls once housed a thriving desert city that was a powerhouse of culture and commerce.

Its Al Turaif district, the area’s citadel-marked primary quarter, was the original seat of power for the Kingdom’s Al Saud family. In 1745, the city was named the country’s capital, laying the foundations for what would later become a unified Saudi Arabia. The ruins of Al Turaif were designated a UNESCO Heritage Site in 2010 and the area has since been the subject of a painstaking restoration plan aimed at bringing its historical legacy back to life.

The Ad Diriyah’s Al Bujairy district is home to religious scholar Mohammed bin Abdul Wahab, its maze of twisting streets lead to low-lying mud huts that have been transformed into sparkling heritage sites.

Then you will visit Kingdom Tower or Mamlaka Tower the tallest building in the city which is located on the commercial strip in the Oalya district in Riyadh. This is the most famous tower in Riyadh. The shopping mall has lots of facilities and cafes to visit. Sky bridge Al Mamlaka at extra ticket a nice observation bridge where you can get magnificent panoramic view of the city. It has a number of restaurants and shops.

You will also visit The Al Rajhi Grand Mosque. The largest mosque in Riyadh is both an architectural marvel and considered to be one of the most significant Islamic institutions in the city. The mosque holds two libraries, forensic science courses, an automated utility system, an 18,000-person capacity for the men’s hall and 2,500 for the women’s area.

At the end, you will visit The King Fahd National Library which is the legal deposit and copyright library for Saudi Arabia. A hidden gym uniquely amazing architectural style for a library. This is Saudi’s National Library and strategically located at the city’s center. Its considered now a tourist destination (closed Sat-Fri). The library was established in 1983 in response to an initiative made by the people of Riyadh when King Fahd ascended the throne.
